I'm Mark Terrell, a Bob Ross Certified Instructor, and I've been teaching oil painting in Kent for 20 years. Every class follows the same simple pattern. I paint each stage on my own easel first, explaining what I'm doing and why, then you paint that stage on your canvas. I come round to each student to help, so complete beginners and returning painters work side by side.
What you'll paint and learn
- Skies and clouds: blending colour on a wet base coat of Liquid White.
- Mountains, water and seascapes: using the palette knife and soft blending.
- Trees, bushes and foreground: tapping with the fan brush and finishing with fine detail.
